sunday pics. the rain and wind was not good. shooting in the morning and paddling in the afternoon was a bad idea.

what focal length you shooting with in those races shots? i'm trying to figure out if you were on shore or in a boat off to the side of the races

only a 200mm. and on shore. as far as i know, all the chase boats are behind the race. though during alcan that one guy who's the official shooter gets to be on a boat in front of the races, i think.

I don't remember there being any boats in front of the dragon boat at last year alcan........
, Although I didn't see all the races so he might be there on and off.....

or maybe to the side. i dunno. i do remember there being close up shots of padders from the side and front, and i do remember seeing dude get in and out of some boats.

cool. some great shots! I had hoped to get down and take some myself after I was done racing on Saturday AM, but didn't get a chance... another time I guess
