Ok Guido.

I'm with you. Lets get this party started. Ummmm why are we focusing on partying when the racing ain't even begun. We should focus on beating all the visiting teams and make our water "OUR WATER" and win everything! Now I know that ain't good english so please do not correct me. I do it on purpose! English is my turd language BTW. You know already what my first language is and that is followed by French but only because I was born in Quebec! LOL

But just in case there are some serious parties going on after the races I got Monday off! WHOOO HOOO!

Awe man.....that means having to find a place to shower,  getting dressed,  making sure you smell nice....and then having to drink out of a bottle!!!!!!

I would prefer a HUGE tailgate party......

I've always had a cooler full of the cold stuff after the races.....nothing tastes better than drinking one after the races and partying in a BIG lot with lots of music.

I'm sure we can do it.

I'm with you Guido, party stinkie!  Esp. for those who end up racing in the Guts and Glory, who has time to go home and shower?  And I'm all for cracking open a cold one as soon as I get off the water.  Tailgate all the way or if someone could get the Plaza of Nations going again we could all stagger over there.  Party on paddlers...  Hey Jing Du got any party suggestions?  I think you've been to a number of parties during your hey days.

Got this from Alcan :

Quote
Sunday night paddler’s party 7pm-11pm (all welcome) – outdoor area around
Science World.  Burgers will be available for purchase at the party. Alcohol
will be available from 7-10pm only.

only bad part is it ends early again so need to stock up prior to 10 Cheers

The other problem .............What if it rains (it's in the long range forcast for next weekend ),would that not suck !!

After the Alcan party that will end at 11pm (but alcohol sales actually end at 10pm!) why not go to another party right afterwards? Get your tickets from your friendly Roli 1 & 2 team members and guarantee your entry to the Buffalo Club. It will be open until 1AM! And they know we are paddlers so I doubt they will worry about a dress code! Besides Corona's and Jack Daniels for only $2.50?? How can you go wrong??

Hey Bernman...

Why not do a 3-venue party crawl after paddling?

1 - Start at the ADBF party at Science World

2 - Go to The ROXY for the FREE Gung Haggis Paddler's Appreciation Party

3 - then finish at the BUFFALO CLUB for your team's party.

I'll trade you 10 Gung Haggis Roxy tickets for 1 Roli Buffalo Club ticket.

Heck... Okay... our tickets are FREE for everybody - Courtesy of our sponsor The ROXY. ...but only One free drink each.

Advance Tickets only - come to the Gung Haggis tent or call your friendly neighborhood Gung Haggis paddler.   Bernman... I will put some tix aside for you... that cute blonde paddler from Wasabi was asking about you after the Women's regatta - he he he...

The dress code for The Roxy is casual.  Wear your paddling clothes!  Just please don't drip on the dance floor.

It's a great party place!  I went in on a Saturday night and there were 2 stagette parties going on.  I was able to introduce both brides-to-be to each other.  They loved it!

Very open stage - good size dance floor. 2 pool tables.  Back room.

Sunday nights are Country Music Night.
At the 3-in-1 party, we rocked to Sweet Home Alabama, two-stepped to Garth Brooks, and bopped to Shania.

So please don't complain about the music...
This is set by the management.  They decided to offer us FREE tickets with ONE FREE Drink to give to our dragon boat friends and other teams... and so we graciously accepted this gift and offered to share the party with others.

Two live bands... and straw cowboy hats availalbe for $5.99.
I think we're going to have some hats available at our team tent for ADBF.  Great for sun protection... okay maybe I'm being optimistic about the weather.

We'll have a prize raffle for dragonboaters as well (our fundraiser part)  I am arranging to get some tickets for the SENSES and HEARTBEAT shows at the Centre in Vancouver For Performing Arts - Incredible if you saw TERRACOTTA WARRIORS last year.  We have GAIA shirts and lots of other prizes as well.
