Carbon Fibre Blade

Just got a new blade...wondering what ppl have been using for non-slip grip, as I dont want to ruin it. I've heard of ppl using wax, hockey tape, elastic bands...what works best..
Also, I have a decal on the blade, and was wondering what I should use to seal it on there...I was thinking varnish, but would that work since the blade is not made of...WOOD?!
Any suggestions??

wax won't do anything on its own. I'd suggest you use hockey tape, and put wax ON the tape to help stop it from breaking down so quickly from all the water... it creates a bit of a sticky mess. but having said this, don't use hockey tape unless you either A) use gloves or b) have good calluses, because the hockey tape makes some pretty heavy friction on your hand.
