now getting back on topic.....i'm really interested in seeing how the new revamped subaru team looks like.  as they are "borrowing" our captain, our team will be gunning for them in any race...as well, i wonder if RGL United will be living up to their name   Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

Well poopy, you'll get your chance to see first hand if the races go according to how the teams are seeded. In the second heat, it's set up to have...
Alpha Red
FODB
Subaru Legacy
FCRCC Mixed

and in the other...
Pac Reach
Roli
FC Grand Dragons
FC Womens

Of course we all know that nothing ever goes as planned... but I think these are a safe bet.

Rankings are pretty accurate...  however, Ruckus did beat out FCW in White Rock.  Should be an interesting race again for heat #8

LOL....a "revamped" Subaru team?....ha ha ha...."borrowing"(you really think he would want to go back) paddler from a recreational(your words not mine) team is really calling it revamped?....I only put Subaru after Roli because "S" comes after "R"... Laughing

What about adding a semi-retired balding italian that has paddled on a comp team... would that qualify as revamping??   Laughing

I wouldn't call adding a Comp C paddler to a team that placed Comp A in Alcan 2004 as revamping either...

Saw some teams on the water last night preparing for the regatta this weekend...

FODB was also out on the water. Either they were taking it easy or Team Masala stepped up their training from last year. During one race piece, FODB blew everyone away at the start (no surprise there) but Masala seemed to pull up and keep up with them during the middle-to-the end of the race... Of course FODB was in a Gemini and Masala was in a 6-16 with 11 seats.

Caught a glimpse of the Alpha boats. Looks like they picked up some new faces since last year. I noticed their drummer was from Scotia and some familiar faces that were on MPower last year. I have to agree with Moaner and say that they definately have a really quick rate. I wonder if they can maintain that rate through the whole 500m race

The free agency market for paddlers definately seems to have been pretty busy during the offseason this year.

Err...correction there.....Mr. Chaos.....
I believe there are a couple(yes 2) Comp C paddlers on that Subaru team from what I saw on their boat.  Does this now make it revamping them now?

Well....after your observations(some may call it spying) what would your rankings turn out to be Mr. Chaos? and Mr. Moaner?....times a dwindling....let us know.....and come Paddle"Boy" we won't tell Coachy you've been on here....we're curious what is on your mind.....

oh chaos and mr guido....it's a good thing i know u two and don't take anything u say seriously   Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing

ok, i used the wrong word...revamped seemed too extreme....especially adding on 2 comp c paddlers from last year, what the heck was i thinking  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes ... i think i hang around zeph and chris too much.

as for the race pieces we had last night, team masala was looking good and it didn't matter if we were on the gemini's or 6-16.  it seems like a lot of teams are stepping it up as we also raced ure rec team (who looked pretty good too).

can't wait to see how some of these teams do at the regatta's before alcan.
