FCRCC Paddler,
Note: We are resending this due to reports that a number of people did not receive this email. If you have received this email previously we apologize.
We wanted to send out a few reminders at the beginning of the winter season:
1. Winter Paddling rules are now in effect (November 1st to April 1st). What does this mean?
a. PFDs must be worn at all times on the water, regardless of the type of boat you are in.
b. You must stay within 50 meters of the shore line.
c. You must paddle with others after dark.
d. You must remain in False Creek after dark, this means no boats past Burrard Street after dark.
e. Lights are mandatory for all after dark paddling regardless of where you are paddling.
These rules are for your safety, please respect them at all times. We do take these rules seriously and will deal with infractions as required.
