Option 1
Ticket selling

This year the festival is selling a 2-day pass that is available exclusively through the teams and paddlers or online. The cost of the pass is $12.00 but teams only return $10.00 back to the festival. As an added incentive, teams will make $4.00 per pass if they collectively sell 100 passes or more. This is equivalent to 4 passes per person and for this effort your team will make $400.00 (or more!). If your team (of 26, for example) sells 10 passes per person you will make $1040.00!  

As well, we are offering prize incentives to individuals and teams:
o Any person who sells 20 passes will receive a free ABDF T-shirt
o Any team/individual that sells 50 passes will receive a $50.00 gift certificate from DIX restaurant and
o Any team/individual that sells 100 tickets will receive a $100.00 gift certificate from DIX restaurant.
o The adult team that sells the most passes will win a tour of the Granville Island Brew Pub
o The junior team will win Playland passes for the entire team.
o Each person that sells tickets will be entered into a draw to win Canucks and BC Lions tickets

This is also the first year that the pass also has benefits for the purchaser. The pass will entitle the bearer to discounts at lower mainland attractions and businesses including: the Maritime Museum, DIX, retail products at Granville Island Brewery and more! AND, individuals that buy passes are entered in draws to win fabulous prizes!

The passes are a fantastic value – especially considering that the "at the gate" price for a one day ticket is $10.00. These 2-day passes INCLUDE SCIENCE WORLD ADMISSION FOR BOTH DAYS AND THE SATURDAY NIGHT TROOPER SHOW.

Passes will be available to teams on May 4th. A printable order form will be available on the website by early next week. As well, an order form will be available at the Alcan Dragon Boat Festival office located at 401.788 Beatty Street and at Dragon’s zone by the beginning of May. Any team or individual wishing to order these passes may do so by faxing, emailing, mailing or dropping of the order form to the office, attention Alexis (see particulars below).

Option 2
Raffle tickets

The festival will have raffle tickets with great prizes that teams can sell and retain 50% of the profit. The tickets will be $5.00 each or 3 for $10.00 (tentatively) and will be restricted to 2000 printed. These will also be available on May 4th.
