Getting back to this Dario thing.....what makes him one of the better coaches....has he ever coached a team to a top 3 finish???? How long has he been around???? Sheesh....where did he learn to paddle....has he even paddled before in his life????

Top 3 Finish as in overall? If that's what you're asking about, you're right Guido, from my knowledge he has never coached a team to a top 3 finish where it counts. He was the assistant coach to Roli last season when they won the Bronze in Comp A in Alcan. So I guess by your standards, any coach that doesn't place his team in a top 3 finish overall isn't worth listening to?
I pretty sure he's paddled before since I highly doubt DragonZone would be run by a non-paddler. Lately, I've seen him paddling in marathons around DragonZone... more often than not... usually with Asian women

which thread is the quote from? can't find it, maybe i'll look some more.
i've met him, once or twice. nice guy, older, confidant, uncondascending, generally good spirited and friendly.
Though he his not nearly as tall as i thought he'd be.   8)
I'm not sure where this topic is supposed to be going, but The Odyssey, one of the more successful gay clubs in town is owned by straight guy and some of the staff are straight too . . . so who cares if he's never paddled before as long as he is doing a good job.  Very Happy

He's pretty much at DragonZone every day.  If you want, why don't you just go there and introduce yourself? For someone that has so much knowledge about the local scene, it's pretty strange that you don't know who Dario is...

Good looking?  nah... he looks like his mom beat him with the ugly stick when he was born... I'm pretty sure him paddling in the marathon's the only way he gets close to them.  Laughing

Mr. Chaos......if I may call you that....Let me pull a quote from one of your earlier posts.....

"On an aside, personal attacks and calling people out are definately frowned upon. Dragonboatwest was not created to become the west coast version of the eastern board where the majority of their posts are anonymous posts trashtalking each other. "

My, my, my.....not setting a good example now are you?????  Shouldn't you practice what you preach????   maybe we should have a call for your adminstrator rights to be revoked....!!!!!!

Well you see I paddle out of another club and am not sure where Dragon Zone is located.....

Dario from Roli....who the hell is he???? What experience does he have??? Wow.....that team isn't going anywhere with that guy.....especially if he's got no history. Poor TCC Carib. TCC won the Rec "A" last year....and now what are they going to do with him...Rec "E"...ha ha ha.

First you diss him and now you are sticking up for this guy you don't even know!?!?! Confused

As I practice out of Dragon Zone three times a week, I can confirm that Dario definitely likes to chat and paddle with the ladies.  However, is it jealousy that I sense from other single male paddlers about Dario's "charm"? Wink

straight guy running successful gay club is equivalent to non-paddler running successful paddling centre.

Yes?
