Hello fellow paddlers!

Long time no see! Lots of familiar names still going strong on this forum  Smile

I moved to Australia on a two-year working holiday visa last year, and I just wanted to let you guys know that I will be riding my motorcycle solo around the entire perimeter of Australia next March. I'm doing it to raise money for the BC Cancer Foundation in honour of my mother. It will be a temperature range of 5 to 45 degrees, with kangaroos, wallabys, wombats, emus, and koalas all along the way.

To condition myself for this massive trip, I've been doing distance runs of 450-1200km in one go (the longest run being from Sydney to Melbourne non-stop over 15 hours). I've dodged wildlife and road kill, I've ridden through storms and harsh conditions, I've almost fallen off cliffs and slippery hills. I have crashed my motorcycle twice while in Australia, but nothing is going to stop me, just teach me  Very Happy

I'll need your help. Please consider donating to the cause here: www.gofund.me/ShebaRidesAus and I'll be eternally grateful to you when I get back home.

Some potential sponsors I've reached out to include Suzuki Australia, Kriega packs, Shoei, Dainese, and Alpinestars. While these are all motorcycle brands, I would love to represent my beloved paddlesport small businesses - who else can say their name has literally made it around an entire country?

Anyway - love and miss you all, and I'll be back before the roos come home.
Much love,
Amanda
