When: Saturday, July 23rd, 2016 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Location: Victoria Canoe & Kayak Club, 355 Gorge Rd W, Victoria, BC V9A 1M9
Race Types:
1. 2500-meter in two heats:
In the morning each team will race a 1250 meter course with a buoy turn (out and back).
In the afternoon, each team will race the same course in a different dragon boat.
The two times for each team will be combined to see who gets the glory and medals.
2. 200-meter Sprints:
Two races for each team; combined times to determine winners.
Categories: Teams may register in the following categories:
- Mixed Open
- Womens
- Mixed Masters (50+)
Minimum of 3 teams required to run category.
Cost: $210 per 10-paddler team (12 people including caller & stern) for EITHER the 2500m or the 200m sprint.
Early Bird $180 - if payment received prior to May 15th
Only $50 to register for the 2nd race type, if registering for both.
Entry fees must be paid online at time of registration.
Results will be ranked by team category (Mixed, Women's, or Masters) for awarding of medals.
All paddlers must have signed waiver on file to participate.
