Dragon Zone Paddling Club will be hosting an all-day Outrigger Canoe Sprints Clinic on Sunday May 31. The clinic will be conducted by Right Angle Performance, a paddle sport service company in Vancouver which is owned and operated by Olympian and World Champion dragon boat and outrigger canoe coach and paddler, Kamini Jain. The 4 OC6s for this clinic will be provided by and launch from the docks at Dragon Zone. An on-land video review session will take place at Creekside Community Centre. The clinic will cover sprint race logistics, sprint training, sprint starts, and sprint turns for 500M / 1000M / 1500M events.

Learn the ins and outs of sprint outrigger racing or hone your existing skills in this 7 hour clinic. The clinic will include instruction on starts, turns, sprinting strategy, teamwork and affective paddling technique. To steer in this clinic, the participant must be competent at steering but specific sprint experience is not necessary.
Number of participants: 24. All participants must be CORA members.
