It was a great fun event.  CIBC Imperial Dragons had a great time and thank One West for doing a great job putting on this regatta at a great price!  One West was keeping the crowd entertained with some bad jokes.

For results I only know the top 3 placements for the races I was in, I was having too much fun to pay close attention to times and placements:

in 200m and 500m final:
1. One West,
2. CIBC
3. Ares

CIBC (drinking beer @ tap n barrel) hahaha

I have to say big props to the U23's who raced upwards to 10 times in those 6 hours in 3 distances! My old aging body doesn't envy you  Very Happy

Ares had 13 U23 members racing that day and I can say first hand that these little machines are energizer bunnies in disguise.

Despite having equipment glitches (3 BUKs had their seats broken), we tried to keep everything as close to the schedule as possible and hope all the teams had fun!

I believe the times will be posted sometime soon, but note that CIBC was paddling with only 19 paddlers the whole time (the 20th paddler was busy drinking beer, because it's for what matters)

One West thanks all the teams that came out, Our DB community is awesome!! Smile

P.S: Correction Rob, the crowd was entertained with GREAT jokes!

I thought it was well run by One West and the number of teams was perfect based on the ambitious set-up for the race. All the teams got their monies worth by racing all those 200m, 500m and 2000m.

Let's also not forget the Eric Hamber volunteers as dock hands. They seemed to have kept it going smoothly as well.
