Hoping to see everyone at our Chasedown event on the weekend of July 13-14. We are looking to gain a head count so we can plan for the after party. We will be throwing a great apres race party which will include BBQ’d BC wild salmon and all the fixings (included with your race fees). We will also have a cash bar which will include beer, coolers, beer, ciders and more beer!
The OC6 race format will be chasedown style again. All crews start at the same time and complete one loop (8-10km), all boats will beach by the Maritime Museum and wait for the last crew to come in. The last crew does not stop but continues on for loop number two followed by the second to last boat, third to last and so on…the first crew to come in will be the last to go out on the second loop hence the ‘chasedown’. The small boat race on the Sunday will be a regular solo race format.
There is also a short course option which is 10km (one loop), we can supply a canoe if required, you just provide the bodies.
