Looking to try something new or still looking for a team to paddle with?

Then join the fun and be part of the CBC's dragon boat team, the Wave Catchers! We're now into our ninth season on the water and we want YOU to be a part of the team!!

Here's the deal:

- We participate in a minimum of two big Festivals: the Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival at Science World in June and another festival in the BC interior in September.

- We meet and practice once each week on Wednesday evenings for two hours starting at 7:00 pm - 1/2 hour for warm-up, and 1 hour 1/2 on the water.  Our practices are run by a coach with many years of experience as a competitive paddler and as a coach. Practices are rain or shine.

- There is a registration fee of $150; this covers festival registration costs, jersey costs, and coaching and docking fees.

- Beginners are welcome! The coach will show you the basics and fitness will come with practice.

- As it is every year, our primary objective is to have fun!

We've already started our practices and are short 2-3 paddlers from a comfortable roster so if you're interested in joining or have any questions, please contact me by phone or by email.
