Hello teams!

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the beautiful sunny weather up here in Vancouver (and if you're from elsewhere, hope you're itching to come visit us soon!)

The party is due to start in just a month and a half, and I've gotten a few emails regarding the availability of spots. There are about 25 slots left, so if your team is on the fence about joining us this year, now is your chance!

I am extending the Earlybird deadline to APRIL 22ND.

There will be tons of door prizes that you are eligible to win just by being part of our celebration. All teams get 26 raffle tickets in with their registration. And, 100% proceeds from our 50/50 draw will go to KidSport - a foundation that makes sure no child is left on the sidelines.

Vendors will include (but not limited to) Mr Tubesteak hotdogs, 3 Stone clothing, iTac, and Fine Finds [Mainland treasures]. The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is also making an appearance to collect any donations and supply information about the cause.

Free registration for the FCWR 2011 will be awarded to the team with the BEST COSTUME!

There may be a TUG-O-WAR CONTEST at lunch break, depending on interest, with a prize for the winning team.

Finally - and this is exciting news - we are working to get a MASSAGE TENT up on site for the day where you can receive massages by donation.

Again, this is an event you don't want to miss. Get your team registration forms in by this week and still receive the Earlybird discount! After April 22nd, prices will jump by $100. Don't miss out!

See you all there!

The race grid was released today.

We have another contender!

The grid has since changed slightly, but doesn't affect anyone's first heat times. Heat 7 has 5 lanes instead of 4. We'll hopefully have the new one up shortly. Will keep you guys posted!

And men. don't be shy to come hang out. Lots of fun things to do for you guys too!

It was a great regatta. Very well organized. We Snap Dragons had a blast (might have been partly due to the sugar high from the kettle corn and the box of chocolately sugary goodness we got when we arrived).

I have finally woken up from my sleep since Saturday Smile

I am honoured to paddle with such an amazing crew, who just happens to be experienced in running a regatta. This year was the 13th annual FCWR and I'm proud to be a part of it in some way.

I welcome all types of feedback and constructive criticism to make FCWR '11 even better.

Pictures from the regatta!  It was rainy and gray, and all cameras were getting soaked.  But here are a few...
