Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone has a quick answer on this one as I don't have time for a full google search.

To meet IDBF PS202a Racing Paddle specification for festivals, does a paddle just need to meet the specs in terms of dimensions and weight or is it required to have an actual stamp from the IDBF on it indicating it meets their specs?

Here's the IDBF's document regarding paddle dimensions: http://idbf.org/documents/watersafety/Boat&PadManufSchemes08.pdf

Depends on the festival. When we went to Hong Kong last year, some of the Chinese teams had paddles that didn't have the IDBF stamp, so they had a sort of paddle mold in which they placed each paddle to see if it was the exact dimensions.  Paddles that did have the stamp were exempt from this check.
