We are looking for a few good paddlers for the up coming RIo Tinto Dragon Boat Festival  on June 20th and 21st.  The fee for each paddler is $95 and that includes practice fee until the race.  We are a recreation mix team and we practice twice a week at Dragon Zone.  Experience is an asset, but not required. If you have never experience the thrill of dragon boating, it will be a great time to experience one of the largest Dragon Boat Festival with an experience recreation team.

Our Coach is Todd Wong and he has over 10 years of experience in Dragon Boating.

If you want more information, please contact Todd Wong and his email address is: [email protected].  You can also visit us at www.gunghaggis.com

Hi!  I am a 26 year old female beginner, but I'm ready to learn!  Are you still looking?

Gung Haggis team is also being filmed as a storyline for an upcoming film documentary (can't give out any details yet).
Filming is currently happening and will include our races at the Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival.

So... join the team and your face and paddle may be seen at film festivals around the world.

Gung Haggis Fat Choy dragon boat team has also been featured in tv documentaries for ZDF German Public Television, France 3 "Thalassa", and CBC's "Generations: The Chan Legacy", and on CBC Newsworld + Global News.

We have a very pro-active multicultural approach to dragon boating that is fun.  We participate in Vancouver's annual St. Patrick's Day parade, and help host the largest Robbie Burns Chinese New Year Dinner in the world + monthly kilts night events.
