We are looking for 3-4 more women and 2 more guys. Recruiting cutoff is March 20. You may email [email protected]

Itinerary – 2 Days before Taipei Dragon Fest
With 2 days to roam Taipei streets, you would get a glimpse of Taipei area and northern tip of Taiwan.

Day 1 – Urban Fair
1. Check in, drop off luggage & brush up
2. Lunch buffet @ Hyatt or quick bite of something light
3. Taipei 101, shopping and financial districts
4. Night (the fun stuff)

Dinner
I thought we could choose between these two restaurants, 乾杯 or 隨意鳥地方.

乾杯 - http://www.kanpai.com.tw
This is a place frequent by younger crowds and salary men. Remember John and Wayne’s urchin play of rock, scissor and paper? If you missed it, here is a link.

Insane SEAWEED Game!!

This restaurant often showcases the latest drinking games and culture trends. Waiters/waitress do a good job at round up applause, interact with patrons, and get people to do crazy things. Men end up with their necktie on their forehead and sing. Their voice trembles and their singing out of tune, but their acts absolutely hilarious. If you are looking for a live impromptu drama, you can’t get much better than this.

PS. I heard doing a French kiss get you a special drink. What about getting Richard to wear some stranger’s bra for the night?

隨意鳥地方 - - http://www.diamond-tony.com.tw/

It's civilized, warm and lively. They serve good food. It's nice but not over the top.

Taipei City Light - 陽明山
___ mid of Sun Shine mountain to enjoy woo long tea, relax and hang out. Its location over looks Taipei city lights. It's quite surreal.

室內釣蝦 & 室外三溫暖
For the ones who refuse to retire from the night, we can go indoor shrimp fishing, BBQ our catches and enjoy them with a bottle of beer. After that, we could head up to bei tou 北頭 and soak in outdoor hot spring pools.

Day 2.
On the second day, I thought we ought to do some social studies, haha.

九份 - http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/九份

台式小館 - I know this authentic Taiwanese restaurant in 天母. They serve traditional dishes that aren’t overly garlicky and drench in pork fat.

士林夜市 - Shihlin Night Market
http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/士林夜市

We shall end the day before mid-night, and get some rest for the fest.

Accommodation Cost for 2 Extra Days
A centrally located single room would cost around $80 dollars per night and slightly more for double occupancies. Cost for the rest of your trip during the festival, hotel, local transportation and food are paid by the festival.

Flight & Stay during TPE Dragon Boat
We decided to fly direct to Taipei via EVA Airway. The airfare is about $1000, tax included. The team plans to depart on May 26 and returns to YVR on 31st (not 24th??), but you may book to leave Vancouver earlier than ??24/26 and return on a later day if you wish. Taipei will pay for the hotel, food and transportation during the four days of the festival and will also arrange a host team to take us around.
