The first world dragon boat festival for breast cancer survivors was held in Singapore last weekend.  17 teams participated - from Canada, Italy, England, Australia, South Africa, Singapore and others.  The Island Breaststrokers from Victoria were there and will be coming back with the gold medal for the 500m survivor only race, a gold medal for the 200m survivor + supporter (80% survivor, 20% supporters) and a silver medal for the 200m survivor only race.

All in all, not a bad showing!  I guess I will have to go looking for my "Best of Queen" cd.
