After those PM's and e-mails, I feel the need to correct some misunderstandings.
Myth One: Absolut Adrenaline has over 40 paddlers on their listAlthough a lot people has enquired about us, we still have room on our roster for both men and women. We plan to close off the roster at twenty-four.
Myth Two: Absolut Adrenaline is a recreational teamSure, we shaken our asses off on the dance floors. We have closed beer gardens in the past by finishing off their supplies. Our
single paddlers certainly know how to flirt. And yes, we've never been to Alcan DB Festival. However, our plans are to kick it as we have done the last two years, and a notch higher. Perhaps, we will have our coach water ski behind us this year!
Myth Three: Absolut Adrenaline have recruited Pamela Anderson, David Foster, Silken Laumann and Nelly FurtadoThey may be from the Island, but we sure haven't seen them in our boat.
Let me just say that if we do meet up with them, we will definitely be inviting them to join.
Myth Four: Absolut Adrenaline has taken control of HMCS VictoriaI have to admit, some of our crew members go to great lengths to improve our time, but we have never used an underwater towing system on a submarine to improve our rankings in races. Myth Five: Absolut Adrenaline practices toplessI dare anyone to find those photos because I am sure Sophie and Elyse made me burn them.
Seriously, we follow Canadian Coast Guard regulations of having as many personal floatation devices as there are people on board. Some of us during relaxed practices do not wear them; however, preparing for festivals, and at festivals, we do wear the dreaded PFD's.
