The deadline for provisional entry to the North American Club Crew
Championships (NACCC) is coming up fast!  If you are thinking about Niagara Falls then now is the time to act!   Date is in August.

Why is this event important?  It's a continental championship for all club,
corporate and community (festival) teams in North America!  The event is held every two years and is a qualifier for the IDBF Club Crew World Championships.

It's a technical sport race (very fair with top US and Canadian Officials) for the club teams, but we strongly encourage ALL teams to enter.  There will be plenty of local teams from Canada at the event in addition to some of the top Canadian club teams.  It is going to be great racing at all levels...and a lot of fun!

Next year the World Championships will be in Toronto, Canada.  Only teams that qualify will be able to attend.  Both the USDBF and Dragon Boat Canada have pledged 40% of their entries to the NACCC.  Teams may be able to qualify regionally, but your chances of success are doubled by making the trip to beautiful Niagara Falls.

Toronto is as close as the World Championships are getting to the United States for at least three more years.  If you haven't been to an IDBF World Championship, this is your chance!.  The Club Crew Championships are not only for the elite paddlers (like the World Championships for National Teams is)

The level of racing in the United States has improved dramatically in the past 5 years and most clubs and corporate teams that travel are closing in fast on the perennial power house clubs.  One thing is sure, if you don't attend a qualifying event somewhere this year your chances of going to Toronto next year are very slim!  We want to see the top 5 US clubs in every racing class represented in Toronto next year and the NACCC is the easiest path to get there!  Look for Premier, Senior and Junior
divisions as well as BCS and Grand Masters!

The cost is $40 per person and you are guaranteed at least FIVE races on one of the premier venues in North America.

It's not all about racing!  Our Canadian friends are planning lots of extra
activities.  Don't miss the Paddle Pallooza Party and Awards on Saturday
night!  For those of you seeking that competitive edge there will be a High
Performance Camp Tuesday through Thursday.  Niagara Falls is a 20 minute drive from the regatta site with many fine hotels, dining and night life options.  Here's your chance to combine dragon boat racing AND your
honeymoon (or 2nd honeymoon)!  OK, maybe that's not the best idea, but
Niagara Falls is still a great destination this summer!

The provisional entry form is in Bulletin One.  Don't worry about the named entry forms, just contact the Registrar, Mark Carl, with your provisional entry and save your spot at what will be one of the best races of the year!
