they have a matrix inspired logo where they use the Matrix Reloaded font, but unfortunately, their jersey color is blue on white. one would think it would be green and/or blue on black. i have to look away whenever i see them because they make me sad.
Sorry, I'm just a huge Matrix Fan.

What would you like to know about them?
They've been around for at least a couple years now. I think I can remember them as far back as 2001. I believe they travelled to Calgary in 2002.
This year they were...
- 2nd in the Rec D Consolation in Vancouver, roughly 98th overall out of 151 participating teams.
- 2nd in White Consolation in Richmond, roughly 22nd out of 42 participating teams.
- 2nd in Silver Championship, roughly 58th overall out of 110 participating teams.
They're pretty much a recreational team. I know a couple of the paddlers there.

maybe PHOTOG can help us out with this one...
I believe that the movie MATRIX RELOADED was inspired BY the team, HEX RELOADED? Can you confirm this, Photog?

Just to clarify the Hex Reloaded fiasco for all you interested folks. It used to be an HSBC sponsored team. When HSBC pulled the sponsorship, a few dedicated paddlers of the Hex team continued on the tradition and filled the roster with their own friends and close ones. To signify a new boat, a new culture, and a new attitude the term 'Reloaded' was added on. It sure was like a new breath of life for the team. Every year, the team has slowly become stronger as a unit and as paddlers. We paddle hard, we party even harder...
And such is how "Hex Reloaded" came about. As for the jersey and the movie color mismatch, I don't think its such a big deal. Personally we like the color gold better. It brings out our mocha skin tone for sure... An even lighter shade of brown. Kelowna 2004 was a good festival for the Hex team.

Background info and history sure clears up things a bit.
and you're probably right about the color mismatch being a good thing.
that way you stay below the radar in regards to copyright infingement, not that WB would really care anyways. There are plenty of little league baseball/softball teams out there with "Looney Toons" text and images all over their jerseys and I'm sure they don't pay royalties.
and boy, you guys really do know how to party.
and again, sorry, but I'm just a huge Matrix Fan. 8)
