Very Happy
It was a first class event which brings back to memory what Dragon boating is all about, Good racing,Team spirit, comraderie, and good times!
I salute the effort the Nanaimo DB organizers put in and the amazing team spirit of all the teams that entered. By far the best festival I can remeber in a long time!

Can someone please explain the race format.  How can the Capital Iron team not make the A final, when they had clearly faster times than most of the teams in the A division. They came second and first on Sat, with the 3rd dastest ime in heat 2.  Does one second place in day 1 relegate you to a lower division?  If so, what a stupid format.

Any reason F2000 allowed carbon fibre paddles in the Nanaimo race but not in their Victoria, Richmond, etc. races?

What is the reason they give for not allowing IDBF spec carbon fibre paddles in their other races?

I believe that Foundation recently changed the rule regarding carbon fiber paddles and that they may in fact be allowed for Victoria and all other Foundation festivals in the future.  I can not claim to be 100 percent on this, for that you would have to ask the Foundation.
