Is there anywhere that can do this locally? Burnwater or Apex people?

I'm not sure of the brand, but one of the paddlers I coach is using a 48" when she really should be using 46". She claims to have to send it to NYC to have it cut but I have heard it can be done in Van. Please let me know this is true - she is a great paddler but looks awkward and out of sync with a long paddle she doesn't want to let go of!

I purchased my Apex from the Deep Cove Canoe and Kayak store and they helped me cut the paddle and applied the t-grip. Maybe they will do it for a fee or if you ask nicely.  Very Happy

Hm. Apparently it's a ZRE and is shortened by cutting at the blade end of the shaft and rearranging. I wonder if anyone is still able to do this for a fee?
