We like coming to the Island, so many teams there have befriended us, we always feel welcome. Dragon boating is such a great sport, we appreciate it so much.

As for the documentary, we can't wait to see it either! We haven’t seen it yet ourselves, the premiere is Feb 5 so we’re waiting to see it like everyone else. We hope it’s good  Shocked

Can't wait to see it! Hopefully it's subtitled/captioned on either screens for the vision-reliant!

Just a reminder that the documentary premieres in Vancouver in theatre this Saturday Feb 5.

It airs on TV across Canada on Feb 20.

We didn’t make this film and we haven’t seen it yet so can’t tell you much about it. It was produced by Adelina Suvagau and funded by Roger’s Broadcasting.

Our website has a link to the documentary site which has more information

I gained some pretty deep insight into the lives of someone who has lost their vision. The movie is essentially the stories told by four members of EOTD, and many of the shots were filmed by them too. Filmed!!

I liked the descriptions on what a visually impaired person might see (eg. black dots in the middle, tunnel vision, blurred vision etc) depending on the type of impairment they have.

Certainly doesn't impair their ability to kick ass at regattas...the final shot of the movie was my own team getting beaten by them.  Confused Not sure if I liked that part. Mad

Bravo to EOTD and to Dan Hebert... it was an honour working with them on the water. (too few times)

Just a reminder that OMNI TV is showing their documentary this Sunday.

Ontario – 9 pm on Omni TV
   Calgary – 11 pm Channel 4
   Edmonton – 11 pm Channel 11
   Vancouver – 9 pm Channel 8
   Victoria – 9 pm Channel 10
   Bell ExpressVu - Channel 254

The movie is essentially the stories told by four members of EOTD, and many of the shots were filmed by them too. Filmed!!

The filmmaker asked the four paddlers to do some filming and they obliged, it was a good way to demonstrate people's abilities, very creative.

Anywhere that those of us that don't have a TV could download or watch online?

Have admired this team since my first year paddling, they are living & winning proof that anyone can get out on the water if they put their minds to it. Very Happy

It’s not currently available on the internet.

If anyone would like to see it made available on the internet or played again on TV or elsewhere contact the filmmaker Adelina Suvagau at [email protected] and let her know. She’ll pass it on to Rogers Broadcasting / Omni TV so they can decide where and when to show it again.
