Hello All,

A crew of us are looking for a new distance challenge in 2010. We did the Peru race in '08 and missed the longer training sessions last year. We're ready to gear up, but need some suggestions.

Does anyone know of any long distance races? I'm looking for multi-day, 100 mile plus races. We'll worry about equipment once we choose the race, so raft, db, OC, canoe.  If it allows paddle powered entrants, we will consider it.

Thanks,
Sandy

You can try Length of the Lake which is hosted by the Penticton Outrigger Club. 100 kms (not 100 miles), 5 legs...You need to meet the pre-determined check-in times for each leg of the race to be able to continue onto the next leg.

I think they have it planned for the weekend of Sept 18th this year. If you have never been to Penticton, it's a great town to visit with a lot of nice wineries in the vicinity!

Length of the Lake is a single day race.

There's http://www.yukonriverquest.com/

740 km of racing awesomeness!

Other races of 300+km and 1000 km distances available in the yukon...multi day paddling fun!
