Hello fellow paddlers,

Don't forget The Big Chop racing series is now underway. Race #2 is tonight out of Vancouver Ocean Sports compound at the Burrard Marina. Bring any small boat and race the Big Chop (7-10km) or Little Chop (4km). No experience necessary. You can also arrange to borrow a boat.

Your racing fee includes the post bbq and your entry for numerous door prizes.

For more information see the website at http://bigchop.ca/index.htm .

The series runs every other Thursday until September.

See you there!

Another great sunny night for racing. The last Big Chop brought out 60+ racers.

Hope to see you there!

A fun race but be sure to get in line for the post-race barbecue before they start to run out! Still, I have to say even a slightly crispy hot dog tastes fine when washed down with some GI lager.

PS: Kelli, if I come out to race again, will you guarantee me a door prize?

You bet! But only if I hold them. Last night both my tickets won. Mine was the first prize ticket drawn and when my hubby's looked liked it wasn't going to be called I grabbed it and won the next prize! A very cool Excel paddling jersey from MEC. Just happened to be my size and colour!

Again 60+ paddlers last night. For FCRCC members you can reserve a small boat (C-Lion, Surfrigger, marathon canoe) and join in the fun. There are also kayaks (single & double) for rent through MEC.

See you all in two weeks.

Kelli

PS: Yes the weenies are scrumptious, not to mention all the other goodies.
