I am looking for the dates of the World Club Crew championships.  Not the qualifiers in Calgary this weekend but when the actual race is.

Thx

August 9 - 13, 2006 in Toronto...

Quote

As determined by the 2006 CCWC Organizining Committee and the City of Toronto; the race date is set for August 9 -13, 2006 These have been confirmed with IDBF.  The Toronto 2006 Organizing Committee has also confirmed that construction will begin on the watercourse in the fall of 2005.

Dragon Boat Canada encourages the international community to participate in what is expected to be the largest and most celebrated Club Crew World Championship competition ever.

Toronto, with its new billion dollar international airport, offers a stunning array of cultural and entertainment opportunities.  There are more than 90 different ethnic groups and approximately 80 languages spoken in the Greater Toronto Area.  One quarter of Toronto's population speaks a language other than English or French at home.  One of Toronto's largest ethnic groups which continues to grow is Chinese.  In 2001, over 15,000 people imigrated to the City of Toronto from East Asia.  Outside of English, the largest mother tongue language group in Toronto is Chinese followed by Italian, Portugese, Polish and Spanish.

Toronto is a clean, safe, cosmopolitan City with many parks, recreational and cultural facilities.  Toronto is the home of 5 professional sports teams and the third largest English speaking theatre district in the world behind New York and London.

For registration, to volunteer or for any other information please contact the 2006 CCWC coordinator at: info@2006ccwc.com

I wonder if there's any chance our Eastern members could take some snapshots of where they're proposing the race site to be...
