Not as exciting as Calgary I guess, but what the heck. Who's going to end up in the top division? Here are my guesses, in alphabetical order:

Absolut Adrenaline
Capital Iron
Got Milk?
New PI
Save-On
Sweet n Sour DB
Victoria Paddlers
Xtreme Reach

I think Xtreme, Victoria Paddlers and Absolute will be in the final but the 4th spot is too tough to call. Maybe someone can help me out ...   Wink

Looks like it could be a rematch of the final in Nanaimo. Absolut Adrenaline, Extreme Reach, Victoria Paddlers (Gorging Dragons and some outrigger ringers from West Bay) and likely The New PI although Capital Iron could surprise. Hard to call

A nanaimo rematch could be forth coming
Extreme would be the favorite but maube AA will finally no longer be tbe bridesmaid......
Either way I will have tons of pics!

Unofficial results from Vancouver Island Festival - Aug. 6:

Blue A final:

1) Victoria Paddlers
2) Absolute Adrenalin
3) sssteam Heat
4) Xtreme Reach

I think all 4 teams were under 2:00 and it was close.  Blue B final was Capital Iron, GPRC Got Milk, Sweet and Sour Dragon Balls and St'keya.  Not sure of the placings except that St'Keya came 4th with a time (I think) of 2:04...all the others broke 2:00.  Frankly, St'keya was thrilled with the result  Laughing

It was a great weekend and I thought it was well organized and well run -- everything on time and a great venue.

For the first time, there was a special final race with two junior teams -- hope there is more to come in future island festivals.

Just want to do a quick correction.  Blue Final A was
1)  Victoria Paddlers
2)  Absolute Adrenaline
3) Capital Iron Dragons
4)  Extreme Reach

Both Victoria and Absolute got 1:51, Capital Iron got 1:57 and I don't know what Extreme got.
