FCRCC MEN'S DRAGONBOAT TEAM
This is a FCRCC sanctioned Men's Dragonboat Team open to all paddlers.
FCRCC will have 2 men's teams registered for the Alcan Dragonboat Festival on June 19th and 20th. After the Alcan Dragonboat Festival, 1 team of selected paddlers will be going to the National Team Trials for 2005 World Championships in Montreal.
Practice times:
Wednesday evenings at 7:10pm.
2nd practice a week will start Sunday at Noon on May 23rd, 2004.
Subject to change after Alcan Festival for Montreal.
Time trials: for the Alcan Dragonboat Festival will be at Alder Bay on Tuesday May 25th and Thursday May 27th both days at 5pm. You will only need to attend one time trial.
- Approximately 325 metres time trial on OC1 using a dragonboat blade.
- Ama on the opposite side of paddling (paddling left, ama on right….)
- 2 time trial runs - one on each side (time permitting)
Team selection: based on time trial, technique, fitness, attitude, and coaches discretion.
