We do this a fair amount after video analysis.  We also do peer coaching so people have a chance to look at/be looked at by their seatmate and those in front and behind of them.  I find sometimes having others verbalize what you're trying to do may connect in a different way.

I think one of the biggest things is to make sure they understand what they are supposed to get out of the drill as you'd be surprised at how many people walk through drills without connecting the point of it to how they paddle.  Otherwise you'll get a whole lot of "it was good"s.  Smile

Each practice I now ask paddlers to analyze how they did after a drill.  What effect the drill has had if any, on their stroke. I do this particularly when we’ve rehashed and rehashed a particular technique(s) to address an issue. Not sure if this will work but curious to see and curious to see what others of you might think. Yes I’m a little frustrated with a problem area for the team. 🤐. Would appreciate contructive feedback

I don't know the brand (so it's not a burnwater etc).  They do have the IDBF specification sticker on them though.

Photos (finally) added. Also has a leash that will go with it. It's now 4 years old, but is in virtually new condition. Unfortunately for me, due to the water conditions here, and my deteriorating core stability, it hasn't seen much use.
