Hi all. To any and every team that has new paddlers with no or little experience. I can help speed up their technique, form and endurance with one on one coaching. Please reach out to me and we can discuss cost that's affordable.

We can help.  The Eh Team paddlers are in need of a steers person and we start paddling next week.  We practice out of Granville Island on Wednesday and Friday mornings, from 9:00 to 11:00 am.  We sure could do with your help, either on a temporary basis or full time for practice.  Send me an email; I'm sure we can work something out.

Snapdragons are recruiting paddlers for 2020!

ABOUT US
We are a women's rec team of all ages and backgrounds, with a strong competitive spirit and a healthy appreciation for a cold beer after practice. We love to practice hard and win races. We also love to have fun with pub nights, wine tasting, karaoke, and dancing.

ABOUT YOU
Looking for people with at least 1 year of dragon boat or outrigger experience, or grads of the Learn To Paddle program at Dragonzone. You should be active and willing to be coached, and able to commit to most practices and regattas for the full season. Most importantly, you want to have fun on the water with some amazing women and win some hardware!

OUR SEASON
Practices are Tuesday nights at Creekside Community Centre, starting March 24 and running until Sept 8.  Warmup starts 5:30, and we paddle from 6-7:15.

Our regattas for the year include:
Women's - May 23
Harrison - July 25
Steveston - Aug 22
Penticton - Sept 11-13

Contact [email protected] if you're interested! You're welcome to try a couple practices with us before committing for the full season.

Hi everyone! Wow, its been a while since I last logged on to DBW. Anyway, I am a former paddler/coach of 15 years. I've paddled with numerous teams, including FCRCC Premier/Mix and coached the likes of Team Vortex, Mercedes-Benz, Gift of Life and Shaggin Dragons.

I am now a certified personal trainer. I run group dryland training and personal coaching/training. PM me if you are interested and we can discuss reasonable rates! Add that extra edge to your paddling technique and work out the typical dragonboat imbalances. Build endurance, strengthen core or just to be more fit in general. I also run coaching workshops. Hope to here from some of you.

Best Regards,
Gerry Vinluan

PS. I am not interested in coaching a team.

Want to try something new or to expand your circle of friends?

RGL United is a semi-competitive co-ed dragon boat team, aged 18-40 looking to recruit new members! We are looking for members who are committed, willing to learn, and has a competitive spirit! No experience necessary!

When: Wednesday nights at 7pm and Saturday mornings at 8am.
What to wear: Dri-fit clothes, a light shell/windbreaker, and shoes you don't mind getting wet.
What to bring: A bottle of water, that's it! We'll provide paddles and life jackets.
We train for local & out of town competitions that happen during the weekends.

The season starts in March sometime & runs until August. Team fees for the year is TBA which covers practice time, and a jersey (any out town accommodation/travel extra).

You're welcome to come to a practice to try it out to see if you like it.
If interested, please reply to this post as we need to ensure numbers for the boat!
