Hi All!

Come on out and join us for a weekend of good, hard racing during the 22nd Annual Northern California International Dragon Boat Festival (NCIDBF) on September 23 & 24, 2017.   This will be our second year at the festival’s new home at sunny Lake Merritt, Oakland, CA. We have always been a competitive race, run for paddlers by paddlers. Lake Merritt truly offers excellent race and water conditions, and we do our best to give teams as much racing as they can take!

We are now accepting registration and early-bird discount rate cut-off date for Visiting Teams is July 12, 2017.  Visiting Team Registration instructions and forms are available for download at our website, www.sfdragonboat.com (http://www.sfdragonboat.com)

2017 Visiting Team Race Registration Process
1. Download and read the 2017 Visiting Team Race Registration packet, including the refund policy. Please read the information in the packet carefully.

Please Note as of 2017, this will be the following ruling for CDBA races for the Mixed Division.

-A minimum of eight (8) females and a maximum of ten (10) male paddlers. The drummer or steersperson does not count towards the minimum of eight (8) female paddlers.
-One boat also must consist of a minimum total of 16 paddlers.

Please refer to our race rules at CDBA Race Rules.

2. Fill out your registration online at www.SFdragonboat.com (http://www.SFdragonboat.com). 
From the main menu: "Racing Info -> Paddler's Information -> Visiting Teams"  Your registration spot will be determined by when you submit the form online.
 
3. If you do not want to pay online, send in your payment to the address below (under Race Fees).  NOTE: No personal checks will be accepted. Cashier’s Check, Money Order or Team Check are acceptable. Funds must be drawn on U.S. Dollars. Your payment must be postmarked no more than 5 days after your online registration in order to maintain your registration position.  Note that the Early Bird registration deadline with the reduced fee is based upon postmark of payment sent, not online registration.
 
4. Upon receipt of your payment, you will be able to reserve rooms at the Oakland Marriott in the heart of the Downtown Oakland, close to the race site and Oakland’s new entertainment and restaurant scene. Once you complete registration, you will receive a link to make reservations at the preferred room rate.
 
5. By August 15, 2017, submit your team bio and logo online at www.SFdragonboat.com (http://www.SFdragonboat.com). "The Teams -> Submit Team Bio"
