Title: Chinook Paddle Order
Post by: TwoJay on June 12, 2014, 10:06:16 AM
Tired of the thrashed paddles at Dragon Zone?  Gung Haggis is placing a group paddle order of Chinook paddles.  See their website for more details: http://www.chinookpaddles.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1. (http://www.chinookpaddles.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1.) We'd be ordering the cheaper of the two versions.  We need a minimum order of 15 paddles to get a reduced price.  Reply to post or email Gung Haggis.

Good on you for opening this up to the public to get the discount volume rate. As for everyone else, take advantage of TwoJay's offer.

There may be a few of us in Victoria, that would like to take you up on this offer as well. It's just getting there here to the Island.

I have a Chinook Sundowner that I've had for about 8-9 months now...LOVE it! It'll be nice to see some other Chinooks on False Creek lol.

Chinook Diablo is the best value carbon fiber paddle you'll find, even better if you get in on this deal.

Hi there, I'll likely jump on board this offer. I'd like a 2nd paddle for the majority of practices. I'm considering an inch difference but won't have a chance to try a 48 til after Alcan. I'll let you know as soon as I determine what I want.

Thanks!

-------------------------

The Diablo is good value, but you do get what you pay for.  The Sundowner (their 1 piece and more expensive paddle) is awesome, but I would try out the Diablo first before buying.  The shaft on the Diablo is plastic (unless they've changed that) and somewhat flexy - good for beginner/rec, but not nearly as good if you're looking for a competitive racing paddle.  I would personally spend the extra and get the Sundowner - it is totally worth it.

Cheers.
