Title: FCRCC - Practical Dragon Boat Steering Course Post by: FCRCC on November 20, 2013, 04:01:01 PM The Steersperson is responsible for crew safety on the water and is a key position for the success of a winning team. Through in-class theory and on-water application, course participants will gain knowledge of boat commands and vocabulary, effects of wind and water on the canoe, manoeuvring tactics and will start to develop instincts for boat balance which will help to create an environment of confidence within the boat. Please note that the while the intent of this course is to help participants build confidence in the steering position, it is only through practice that real success is achieved.
