Yes, finding the 50" a bit too long as I'm holding with my bottom hand a little higher than I'd like.. I thought about cutting it down to save money, but I find the 50" good for OC6 and I'd like to start getting more into that someday. Thanks for your suggestions! I run with a 49" for OC6 and 47" for OC1. Here is a good sizing chart from Kialoa:

I recently cut my paddle from 52.5in to 50.5in (for OC6 to OC1 purposes), but now it may be too short. :? You could get it cut down to your desired length @ Alder Bay Boat Co. on GI (approx. $12). The sizing charts can come in handy, but often it's about the 'feel'. Our coach has alot of us using short blades (compared to those recommened in the sizing charts) due to his recommended paddling technique. There are some 6ft guys using 50in paddles in OC6s. I'm debating whether or not to sell it (I have a similar paddle, but it never hurts to carry a back up), and I haven't even thought of a price yet.
