20-paddler Combined-Time 2x1250m with Buoy-turn Race) Saturday, July 14th, 2012 at 9AM at the Victoria Canoe and Kayak Club 355 Gorge Rd. W. in Victoria on the beautiful Gorge Waterway. This year's event is earlier in the season, but should still have great weather. The majority of races will be 200m in 10-paddler Champion 9m boats... in several categories (Open, Women, Mixed) The 2500m event is a combined-time two-race with a buoy-turn in 20-paddler boats. Last year Gorging Dragons walked away with most of the medals... Let's not let it happen again. Once again there will be entertainment, food and beverages, but an improved paddlers' village. Registration fees are the lowest around... $15/person per event.
