Title: Re: Deep Cove Dash - Saturday, April 28, 2012 Post by: one.west on February 01, 2012, 07:41:28 PM No, we're having trouble as well. And it's weird that they only ask for your name + email, but not the team name?

The race grid was sent to the team managers. If you haven't received it, I'll gladly post it on here. I'm thinking it should be posted on the website pretty soon. Title: Re: Deep Cove Dash - Saturday, April 28, 2012 Post by: kryssee on April 25, 2012, 12:13:18 AM I have a feeling there may be some last minute tweaks..since our women's team seems to have been placed in the mixed div!

Title: Re: Deep Cove Dash - Saturday, April 28, 2012 Post by: ian on April 25, 2012, 04:47:28 PM pirates are looking for 2 experienced paddlers for deep cove dash this saturday
email me at [email protected] thanks Title: Re: Deep Cove Dash - Saturday, April 28, 2012 Post by: minipaddler on April 26, 2012, 03:35:40 PM Usually the women will race with mixed teams until the semi's. Then it goes to women and mixed only div's. It is your time that counts in the qualifier heats.
Title: Re: Deep Cove Dash - Saturday, April 28, 2012 Post by: kryssee on April 26, 2012, 11:52:20 PM If you look at the race grid, it is clearly marked "Women's division" for the first set of heats and then "Mixed division" for the next set of heats. They put ours into the Mixed. And when they were told about it, we were put into the Women's soon after. This race is clearly divided all day long :) No need to panic now..we're back to where we need to be!

Lifescan: 0.56:47 Ares: 0.56:66 GD: 58:29 KCBC: 59:01 It was definitely a good fight. Title: Re: Deep Cove Dash - Saturday, April 28, 2012 Post by: mandachan on April 30, 2012, 11:06:14 PM Speaking of which...
The times were odd for A Consolation. Lifescan and Ares were placing 52's and 51's.. when suddenly... bam! Title: Re: Deep Cove Dash - Saturday, April 28, 2012 Post by: 2010 on May 01, 2012, 12:45:31 AM Madame Starter backed us off the line and it just so happened that we got 'perfect alignment' - so she started us there instead of the at the real start line. Probably backed up a boat length and a bit?

Probably backed up a boat length and a bit? Ya, that's what my steers and drummer said. I was too 'dialed in' to notice 8)) Must have been pretty far back, like you said. 4-5 seconds difference! Title: Re: Deep Cove Dash - Saturday, April 28, 2012 Post by: Madame Starter on May 01, 2012, 02:00:48 PM Yes, I did start that race about 1.5 boatlengths back but the alignment was amazing and I knew it was a final therefor would not affect advancements. I forgot about overall comparisons so I agree it might look a little suspect but ..... Now you know why.
