Title: Paddlers needed for Victoria Teams going to Alcan Post by: Ron Crabtree on May 24, 2011, 01:35:57 PM VCKC (Victoria Canoe & Kayak Club) have space on two teams, Namakas (Women's) and Storm (Mixed).
We already have a strong core group, but some paddlers cannot make this festival. Paddlers should be experienced and wanting to work for medals. Practices are Tuesday & Thursday evenings (5:30pm) at VCKC, 350 Gorge Rd. W. Both teams are suitable for competitive paddlers with strong skills or paddlers willing to put in the effort to quickly become competitive. Last year Namakas (then, all novices) came second at Victoria in the Women's Division. Storm is newly formed this year from competitive paddlers from former VCKC teams. |
