Title: Vancity Thunder Looking for Paddlers Post by: dpanic on March 08, 2011, 05:32:28 PM The Vancity Thunder Dragonboat Team is looking for motivated and energetic people to come out and give the rapidly growing sport of dragon boat a try.
Experienced paddlers are preferred, but not required. Even if you have never tried paddling and are a bit intimidated, you should come out and give it a try!!!! *Start Date: Thursday March 10th * Practices: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 @ DragonZone (in front of Vancity HO) * Required: Water resistant, layered clothing and a water bottle are all that is required (paddle and life jacket supplied). * Costs: $250 per person required to cover the costs of practices and registration for the Vancouver Festival and Regatta. Additional costs for out-of-town races will be partially offset by team fundraising efforts. NOTE: Initiation fee not required to come out and give it a try!
