Have you ever wanted to take your paddling to the next level on a Recreational Team that races at a Competitive Level? Do you want to be a more technically sound paddler? Are you looking for a team that works hard on the water but has fun off as well? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, Starbucks Waverunners might be your team for 2011. Starbucks Waverunners is looking for a few experienced paddlers to fill out their 2nd boat for 2011 season including racing in Hong Kong in June. We are paddling out of FCRCC: Weds nights and Sunday mornings. Races that we are schedule to race in: 1. Deep Cove: Saturday, April 16, 2011 2. FCRCC Spring Regatta: Saturday, May 7, 2011 3. Dragon Zone Regatta: Sunday, May 29, 2011 4. Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival: June 11/12, 2011 5. Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival: June 17-19, 2011 6. Steveston Dragon Boat Festival: August 20, 2011 7. Seattle Dragon Boat Festival: September 3, 2011 If you are interested please message me and I will forward you some additional information. I have paddled on teams at the rec a/b level in a mixed team. I am looking for a new team this year as I can no longer paddle saturdays regularily. I can take time off for regattas.

We really have no expectations on how we finish other than we work as hard as we can during our practices and we always strive to improve on every race. I know it sounds kinda cheesy, but we run our team as a recreational team that races at a competitive level. Our team culture and how we run practices and races has worked well for us for the past few years. If we go off of our last seasons results we should be around the same area this year. Since we are running 2 teams this year both teams are going to try and qualify for the International Division in HK. Hopefully this answers your questions.
