Title: Looking for a team, recreational / mildly competitive (Vancouver/Richmond)
Post by: RabidRat on July 14, 2010, 10:54:17 PM
I realize it must be the off season right now, with Alcan having completed and all, but maybe there are some casual events still going on? Are there any teams that would take on new people right now or would we have to wait til the start of the next season?

My buddy and I are both 24, in pretty good shape. Looking for a recreational or mildly competitive team in their 20's, maybe meet a few people and try the sport out. We can commit to twice a week. Either Vancouver or Richmond is fine.

Let me know if we could drop by!

Actually, Alcan is sort of the start of the season.  There's lots of festivals and regattas taking place practically every weekend around the Pacific North West and into the interior.  You should have no problems hooking up with someone looking for paddlers to fill out a team.  Good luck and hope to see you out there!

Red Fusion is practicing at the Dragon Zone, by Science World tonight at 7:00.
Feel free to come out.

At the momment, we are preparing for Harrison next weekend.  After that we will be entering the Kelowna Festival in Sept.
