Title: The end of an era Post by: Martini on July 13, 2010, 02:03:23 PM I was saddened to recently learn that Calgary is losing one of the mainstays of its paddling community. Casey McDonald, better known to his friends as Road Rash is moving to Edmonton of all places. Many of you will know Casey as the inventor of the "Shocker" beer bong that has been appearing at festivals all over Canada.
You will be missed. :( Title: Re: The end of an era Post by: Backward Rowing on July 13, 2010, 05:44:55 PM :D
This can be a happy moment... is Road Rash joining any Edmonton teams? Title: Re: The end of an era Post by: ROAD//RASH on July 14, 2010, 08:34:16 AM Thanks Martini! I will still be around... it's only 2.5hrs border to border, Team Destructor* (tm) will rise (sink?) again!!
I'm joining the Oil City Crew in Edmonton. Great bunch with good coaching and leadership, and they're in an exciting spot in team development right now, I'm pretty stoked. I'll still be doing the rounds, it's business as usual, just a more northerly base! *Team Destructor is the legendary marathon canoe team comprised of Martini and myself, challenging the laws of bouyancy, providing more wash than a laundromat, and spectacular rooster tailed cartwheeling wipeouts around judge's corner!
