We have had one spot open up for Portland on Sep 12-13. We're aiming to take 26 down as some of our girls are also racing womens and we want to be covered for any scheduling issues! :) We're going as GRPC United and we're mostly a mixed boat made up of paddlers from the GRPC in Victoria - Fifth Moon, DogPaddlers, Brew Crew, PI, Selkirk among others plus a couple paddlers joining us from the mainland. Rooms are all set, rides can easily be organized either from Victoria or the mainland. Cost is $33 for the festival plus your share of travel and accommodation. Rooms are around $125 a night split between how ever many we can cram in! (~$30-60). If you haven't done Portland before, it's a lot of fun. The course is right downtown, the hotel is really near, the water can get a little crazy and the whole atmosphere is very friendly.
