Dragon Boat West

Dragnum, a mixed competitive Calgary based crew, will be heading to San Fran and we are hoping to join forces with another Canadian crew to form a men's and women's team in order to get in a little more racing in while we are down there. Anyone interested?

Magnum will be combining with JetStart for the open and women's division.

The other Canadian crews that I believe are going are TD Lightning, LifeScan, and EDBRC. There's probably some others coming too that I dont know of.

Vancity Thunder is headed down ... they just completed that very tight Jade A Final in Victoria ... 0.7 second spread on 5 boats.

Man all this talk about San Fran makes a man want to go!

fyi,

last year in sf, lifescan won bronze in mixed comp B championship. we also teamed up with jambalaya and won a bronze medal in women's as well.

we just finished racing in victoria and came in first in diamond B finals. (3 first place finishes to boot!)

Magnum have been planning this trip for the past month and we cant wait for it. It would also be the first time for abt 90% of us.
It's going to be an AWESOME trip to close out the season...until it starts again in November LOL

It is Magnum +  :lol:, from I have heard they have picked up some Masters of D'Zone and Sudden Impact Black as some have to do their homework that weekend  :lol:

I have seen them on the creek and they are looking as strong as they were in Alcan.

I think they want to continue the USA curse in San Fran, can we say 4peat  :shock:.

I wish I was going so I can watch the on water fights, I think it maybe a Canada sweep again for gold medals, Jetstart and Magnum in the mixed and the men and women.  Should be interesting Canadian contingent.

Is LARD coming to win, I assume?  Dragon Warriors and Killer Guppies are always tough.  Is San Diego coming they looked tough in Long Beach.

What a final if it all plays out.

Some of our Magnum spares have midterms in late september lol, but it will be Magnum all the way with the few paddlers from Masters and SIB rounding off the rosters.

It's going to be a BLAST! We're ready to rock & roll at TI :wink:
