Title: Male paddler available for Kelowna Post by: enoki on July 27, 2009, 12:00:15 PM Not sure what the minimum age limit is, but our Stephen (13) would love to help out a team at Kelowna in September. Long a fixture as a volunteer at most local festivals, he has started paddling this year. He paddled with Victoria Youth Paddlers at Alcan and with Sudden Impact Liquid Silver this past weekend at Harrison.
Stephen paddles right and is coming out to all our regular team (TD Lightning) practices. He has a good long stroke and is very competitive. If interested contact Mike at [email protected] Title: Re: Male paddler available for Kelowna Post by: cookie on July 27, 2009, 03:46:27 PM Hi Mike,
The age limit for a mixed or womens team to race in Kelowna is 19 years old. Youth teams are from 13 - 18 years of age. Unfortunately, I only have a mixed crew for Kelowna so as much as I would love to have him on board with our comp team I can't, but I'm sure there will be other youth teams up there again. I wish him luck in finding a good youth team to race with and hope to see him up in Kelowna. Cheers, Cookie Title: Re: Male paddler available for Kelowna Post by: Backward Rowing on July 27, 2009, 06:03:52 PM I believe mixed & women's teams allow for under 19 paddlers with parental permission. Good luck to you. I do hope you find a team as Kelowna is pretty good fun on the water.
