Don't forget The Big Chop racing series is now underway. Race #2 is tonight out of Vancouver Ocean Sports compound at the Burrard Marina. Bring any small boat and race the Big Chop (7-10km) or Little Chop (4km). No experience necessary. You can also arrange to borrow a boat. Your racing fee includes the post bbq and your entry for numerous door prizes. For more information see the website at http://bigchop.ca/index.htm . Still, I have to say even a slightly crispy hot dog tastes fine when washed down with some GI lager.

Last night both my tickets won. Mine was the first prize ticket drawn and when my hubby's looked liked it wasn't going to be called I grabbed it and won the next prize! A very cool Excel paddling jersey from MEC. Just happened to be my size and colour!
Again 60+ paddlers last night. For FCRCC members you can reserve a small boat (C-Lion, Surfrigger, marathon canoe) and join in the fun. There are also kayaks (single & double) for rent through MEC.
