Title: How to upload Avatar Post by: Special K on January 15, 2009, 11:36:38 AM Since the site moved to a new server I have not been able to upload my avatar (as it was lost with everyone else's in the shuffle). I have tried to upload it as a jpeg and a png but no luck. Any advice?
PS: please, in laments terms :D Title: Re: How to upload Avatar Post by: paddling geek on January 15, 2009, 12:12:07 PM looks like you can only update your avatar by having the website url ... (http://paddling-geek.net/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_eek.GIF)
I guess, I should come to the site more often then reading the posts via google reader (http://paddling-geek.net/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_hyper.GIF) LOL Title: Re: How to upload Avatar Post by: BernMan on January 15, 2009, 04:38:18 PM Hi there.
I too wish to know how to repost the gif file I once had. I can't even post a jpeg up either. And as Special K put it please try to explain in layman's terms for us less experienced computer users. Thanks! Title: Re: How to upload Avatar Post by: PaddlesUp on January 15, 2009, 04:40:50 PM Looks like James Cole has an Avatar picture loaded... why not PM him to ask how he did it.
Title: Re: How to upload Avatar Post by: NFW on January 15, 2009, 10:24:53 PM You can upload your avatar by:
Step 1: Upload the image that you would like as your avatar to an image hosting site (ie. http://tinypic.com) Step 2: Choose the "I have my own pic" option in the Forum Profile Information page and input your url image thats hosted on Tinypic. Step 3: Click Change profile button Done! Title: Re: How to upload Avatar Post by: Special K on January 16, 2009, 10:41:08 AM Thanks, the tinypic site worked for me :D
Title: Re: How to upload Avatar Post by: jeannie on January 16, 2009, 03:10:57 PM wierdness - does it take a while to accept or anything? I've tried all the URL links that tinypic gives you and none of them have gone through...it only likes certain people? :(
Title: Re: How to upload Avatar Post by: jeannie on January 16, 2009, 03:15:47 PM never mind! of course it works right after I send the message out. :P
