We are a mixed comp team based out of Vancouver (FCRCC) and we're looking for male / female paddlers to join our team in 2009. We welcome paddlers who are interested in taking him/herself into the next level. Good commitment level to training is required. 2008 season saw Dragon Hearts Magnum participating in 7 Regattas / Festivals and collecting hardwares at the same time. This year our goal is to be in comp B at Alcan. Other races includes the 2009 Race Series (From Waters Edge) but it's TBD (at our meet & greet / orientation session, details below) Practice Frequency: [Jan 25 - April 30] Sunday mornings + Thursday nights + Optional OC1/ OC6 sessions [May 1 - End of Season] Sunday mornings + Thursday nights + Optional OC1/ OC6 sessions + Monday nights As noted above, we will be holding a meet & greet / orientation session to welcome new and returning members, discuss team goals, commitment, races and well, just get to know each other. WHERE: False Creek Community Center 2nd Floor meeting room (meeting room name is TBD) 1318 Cartwright St, Vancouver (Granville Island) WHEN: Sunday, January 18th, 2009 @ 10 AM WHO: Denis (our Captain), contact @ 604-313-5103 if you need directions or more info on the meet. A point to note is that we have awesome coaches that drives us to work harder every practice. With that said, We race for the challenge and fun is the byproduct of our hard work. Currently we're looking to fill the boat with two COMMITTED paddlers of each gender! No experience is required, although it'll help us out tons!
Starting next week, we'll be practicing out of FCRCC on Tuesday and Thursday 7pm on DB, and Sunday 12pm at Burrard Marina on OC6.
