Erm, do you know how I'd take the handle off the shaft, and where I'd get a new handle? Title: Re: Is it possible to cut an OC paddle? Post by: madcap on November 26, 2008, 05:27:31 PM It might be easier to look up the Spanish Inquisition website for a used body stretcher. You can get a bargain these days with the economic downturn worldwide. It has been told that you can stretch about three to four inches and it takes about three months for the bones and tendons to heal, just in time for paddling season.

Title: Re: Is it possible to cut an OC paddle? Post by: Kaohao on December 17, 2008, 05:00:54 AM Put the paddle in a padded vice, carefully use a heat gun to soften up the glue, then take a hammer and a block of wood and lightly tap the handle off, alternating taps on each side of the shaft. This also works w/ carbon fiber, just be really careful not to crush the shaft in the vice.
