Title: EDMONTON PADDLERS: A new Dragon boat team is forming in Edmonton Post by: EdMagic on October 24, 2008, 01:32:24 PM If you enjoy paddling in Edmonton or are planning to move to Alberta’s River City in the near future, then this is your chance to TAKE IT UP!! We are looking for people who want to train hard, practice hard, paddle hard, while sharing a lot of laughs along the way!! Our FOCUS in the BOAT will be to commit to:
• obtain/maintain an athletic status fitness level by May 2009 (and throughout the DB season) • compete in out-of-town festivals • on-water practices once the ice is off the water (of the river and the nearby lake) • participate in fundraising events, sponsorship gatherings, or volunteer in the community • BLENDING the boat by taking into consideration attitude, fitness level, commitment, and talent • Sharing a lot of laughs along the way If you share the above way of thinking, then PADDLES UP!!
